JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Apply advanced knowledge of database design and management including modeling, creation and maintenance of critical databases and database objects to serve as a resource to team members on escalated issues of an unusual nature.
  • Design, test, implement and maintain all functions of database systems, including access, methods and time, device allocations, validation checks, security, documentation and statistical methodology.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts to ensure optimum efficiency, availability and security levels.
  • Establish appropriate end-user database access controls, best practices and perform transaction and security audits.
  • Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems, and devise systems and related procedures to process data.
  • Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
  • Troubleshoot system issues across the infrastructure. Evaluate and help develop long-term strategic goals for all enterprise database environments.
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s policies and procedures while developing solutions for automation and scalability.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in Computer Science, Information Technology or closely related fields.
  • Extensive knowledge of the MS SQL Server, database architecture, database management, SQL, development, analytics, and/or related information technology.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating effectively with colleagues and across business units.
  • Ability to manage a work queue and see tasks through to completion.
  • Be self-motivated with “Get-it-done” personality.

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with Data Reporting.
  • Familiarity with predictive models, advanced BI, as well as programming knowledge is ideal.
  • Experience with Hadoop and Big Data technology.
  • Experience with SSIS, SSRS, T-SQL, Power BI, and SQL server management studio.
